In celebration of World Tourism Month and the 67th anniversary of Que Pasa magazine, the Puerto Rico Tourism Company inaugurated the exhibition “Que Pasa! : a look into the history of Puerto Rico tourism,” which recognizes the magazines 67 years of publication. The display is located in the Miguel A. Domenech Gallery at the PRTC offices.

“The exhibition includes iconic magazine covers from different decades, dating from 1946 to 2015. The oldest, recovered in 1933 by the Company’s staff and restored years later, have considerable historical value and cultural significance. In addition, through the covers, you can appreciate the development of the tourism industry; the vision, mission and management of foundations; hotel developments and evolutions; challenges faced throughout the process; developments of niche tourism markets (gastronomy, golf, destination weddings, ecotourism, luxury hotels, and adventure, amongst others) and finally, the most successful approach to global tourism trends,” said Ingrid I. Rivera Rocafort, Executive Director of PRTC.

The Miguel A. Domenech Gallery is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and at special times on World Tourism Day on September 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
